Introducing the first high-performance aftermarket fog light replacement for Subaru Foresters which feature a vertical LED fog light assembly - our custom brackets and Diode Dynamics SSC1 kit. Popular off-road fog light replacements such as the Diode Dynamics SS3s are second to none, but are incompatible with some Forester trims. Our bolt-on, powder coated steel brackets replace the OEM lamps with CAD-designed fitment and allow you to mount two pairs of SSC1 fog lights in their place for maximum performance.
The Diode Dynamics SSC1 SAE Fog is a special version of the SSC1 lamp that uses an OSRAM LED chip and special optics to create an unmatched wide and even beam for street legal fog light use. With our kit, you can have two pods mounted on each side of your vehicle in the OEM fog location for unbeatable performance on your Forester, equivalent to an SS3 MAX pod. A crisp white option to match the OEM LED low beams is available, or you can select a rich amber color instead for that heavy-hitting inclement weather usage. Our quad SSC1 kit puts out up to 2.75 times the amount of light as the OEM fog lights, and has a 30° wider overall spread of light than OEM, for maximum coverage when you need it.
The SSC1s also offer a backlight feature, for illumination of the front lens without activating the true fog light function. If you would like this feature, we will include a harness with a waterproof wire tap so you can easily connect the backlight trigger to your headlight wiring. You will need to check an OEM wiring diagram to determine the exact wires for your trim and year that provide the function you want the backlight to trigger with (DRL, marker light, low beam, etc.)
You will need to reuse your OEM bolts/clips for this installation. Kit is only compatible with Sport (19-23) or Touring (19-21) trim Foresters equipped with vertical fog lights as shown - other trims with the round fog lights and bezels are not compatible unless you exchange the bezel for the vertical type and add additional fasteners. For round-bezel Foresters, we recommend the Type A SS3 kit from Diode Dynamics; it is plug and play.

Note: Only an amber backlight is available with amber pods, due to the colored front optic.
We do not recommend using any other SSC1 lens such as Wide or Spot with this kit, as is it not street legal to operate them as a fog light. By purchasing and installing this kit you are assuming any risk involved with removing or modifying your factory bumper and components.
